Cookie policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This website stores nothing on your device

No cookies — not even “strictly necessary” ones. No localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB, no cache-based identifiers, no web beacons, no fingerprinting. No analytics. No advertising pixel. No third-party resource of any kind.

Why there is no consent banner

Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as implemented in national law — in the Czech Republic by Act No. 127/2005 Coll. on electronic communications), a website must obtain your consent before storing information on, or gaining access to information already stored on, your terminal equipment, unless that storage is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for.

This site stores nothing and reads nothing. There is therefore no act of storage or access that consent could attach to, and no legal basis on which to ask you for consent. Showing you a banner anyway would be theatre: a dialogue asking permission for something that is not happening. We would rather remove the collection than ask you to accept it.

The same reasoning applies to the GDPR. There is no reader identifier, so there is no profile, so there is nothing to consent to.

How to verify this yourself

Do not take our word for it. The whole point of making this claim is that you can check it in under a minute, with tools already in your browser.

  1. Press F12 (or Cmd + Option + I on a Mac) to open the developer tools.
  2. Open the Application tab in Chrome or Edge, or Storage in Firefox and Safari.
  3. Look under Cookies, Local storage, Session storage and IndexedDB for meritor.online. Every one of them should be empty.
  4. Now open the Network tab and reload the page with Ctrl + R. Sort by domain. Every single request should go to meritor.online and nowhere else — no fonts.googleapis.com, no google-analytics.com, no CDN.
  5. Click any request and look at the Response headers. There should be no Set-Cookie header.

If you ever find something there that contradicts this page, please tell us at info@meritor.online. We will treat it as a bug and fix it.

What the one script on this site does

There is a single JavaScript file, /js/app.js, and you can read the whole of it. It does two things: it copies campaign parameters that are already present in the address you arrived with onto the outgoing partner link, and it makes sure that link keeps its rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" attributes. It sets nothing, reads nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. If you browse with JavaScript disabled, the site works normally.

Fonts, images and other resources

Text is rendered with the fonts already installed on your device (a system font stack), so no font is downloaded from Google or anyone else. The illustrations are SVG files served from this domain. There is no content delivery network, no embedded video, no social media widget and no remote image.

What our web server records

Storing nothing in your browser is not the same as knowing nothing. The web server keeps a standard access log — IP address, time, page requested, user agent, referrer — for security and troubleshooting. Those files are deleted automatically after about 14 days and are not used to profile anyone. This is explained in full in the privacy policy.

When you leave for an advertiser

This policy covers meritor.online only. If you follow a link marked “partner link”, you arrive on an advertiser’s service, and advertisers generally do use cookies and conversion tracking. Their policy applies there, not ours. Our redirect page at /c/1/ sets nothing.

If this ever changes

If we ever needed to store something on your device, we would update this page first, state exactly what and why, and ask for your consent through a genuine choice — with refusing as easy as accepting — before storing anything.
